Unfortunately, this rum is awful. Not just not good - it tastes exceptionally bad. It smells a bit oaky, but something of mothballs and cheap tequila. It tastes very sour, somewhat like cheap gin or cheap tequila - not even a real rum flavor. The sour flavor is abysmal, even mixed with coke, and quite unpalatable in the traditional grog. Ignore the historical connection and avoid drinking this rum.                ]]></description>
